From Firenze and the Italian Pen manufacturer Stipula, and the creative mind at Chatterley Pens comes a custom celluloid pen with a 14kt gold nib. A relaxed and refined celluloid resemblant of dried premium Tobacco flows during the pen. The clip used to be inspired by the famous column at Bertinoro.
Bertinoro is understood for its hospitality. A fascinating feature here is the 13th century Colonna Delle Anella. Visiting traders were the principle supply of reports, so the principle families would argue continuously about who had precedence to supply shelter to travelers. The Column of Hospitality, or “of the Rings”, solved this problem: visiting travelers would tie their horse to one of the crucial rings, and the circle of relatives “owning” that ring had the proper to supply hospitality to that traveler. This custom remained for hundreds of years, and remains to be repeated every year at the first weekend in September. Gold Vermeil (925 Sterling Silver plated with Gold) used to be the metal of selection for the trim, and it blends seamlessly with this celluloid. This fine writing instrument is accented with three smooth rings at the cap beneath the clip and a large ring at the segment where it meets the barrel, unseen till the cap is unscrewed. On this collection Stipula has installed their in-area piston filling system. This edition is proscribed to 2 pens around the world and is to be had in F, M, or 1.1 Stub. The MSRP in this pen is $1350.
