Description

Montegrappa has collaborated closely with the Gibran National Committee, and renowned Lebanese artist Katja Traboulsy within the creation of this homage to Gibran’s legacy. The GNC was once established in Bsharreh, to offer protection to and continue his legacy after his death, and Montegrappa is supporting the Gibran legacy thru this project with a donation to the GNC for Every pen sold. The pens are made from resin in a color harking back to the blue, black and gray outstanding in Gibran’s paintings. This wealthy, dark hue is accented with palladium plated trim, even as the fountain pen nib is 2 tone 18K solid gold and bears the famous face believed by many to be Gibran’s final self-portrait. All pens feature a pocket clip within the type of a hand with a solitary Sapphire set as the attention at the open palm, named the Divine World by Gibran himself. The face adorning the nib and the palm moulded into the clip are probably the most recognised visual references of Gibran’s art [images inset or on opposite page]. The bottom of the cap is inscribed with the author’s signature, and the highest of the cap bears the logo of a ‘Ok’ overlaid on a ‘G’, an emblem found within the corner of many of Gibran’s paintings, his own private emblem. In honour of the year of the birth of this mythical author, the Kahlil Gibran restricted edition is composed of 1883 examples Every of fountain pens, roller balls and ball point pens. Every series of pens might be numbered 1/1883 to 1883/1883.
