Hooker Furniture uses sparsely chosen solid wooden and choose wooden veneers over durable wooden merchandise in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks impossible with solid wooden. Veneers are used over durable wooden merchandise such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, product of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are utilized in quality furniture for spaces that wish to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wooden merchandise don’t expand and contract with warmth and cold and don’t take in moisture up to solid wooden, which ends up in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
