Hooker Furniture uses sparsely chosen forged wooden and choose wooden veneers over durable wooden merchandise in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more ornamental looks not possible with forged wooden. Veneers are used over durable wooden merchandise such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made from renewable resources. MDF and particle board are utilized in quality furniture for spaces that want to be stable, such as massive surfaces. These durable wooden merchandise don’t expand and contract with warmth and cold and don’t soak up moisture up to forged wooden, which leads to stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
