Visconti Ragtime Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Fountain Pen. On October 20th 1988 Visconti was once founded in Florence with the intention of introducing exquisite writing instruments available on the market made in line with handicraft techniques and precious materials like our grandpas’ pens were. After an initial experimenting period a new writing instrument entered the market: Ragtime. This pen represented a perfect novelty for its design, filling system and name. Ragtime if truth be told is the music that on the end of 19th century set the root for Jazz and that is the sense and the message attached to this pen collection that for more than 6/7 years had been the guts of Visconti production and was once widely appreciated by collectors and brand supporters. After two decades Visconti has revised the technical drawings and up to date them with the true techniques, by renovating the old moulds for clips and modifying them with new engravings. Also the development philosophy is similar: an elegant pen built with handicraft precision, turned from single bars and sold at an inexpensive cost. This Ragtime celebrating two decades of Visconti production has an excessively special detail for any pen lover: the cap, turned in one piece, is supplied by two 14 KT solid gold rings, which can be externally force-are compatible on it as a make stronger, in line with an ancient expertise, widely recognized to the Visconti technicians.
