Description

The Fluke Networks Pocket Toner NX8 identifies and tests as much as eight VDV coaxial cables concurrently to detect continuity, short and open circuits, and AC/DC voltage, and includes a detachable tone generator cap with a removable coupler for testing female and male connectors. When used with ID caps (included with the deluxe and voice and video pro kits), the toner can indicate continuity on eight cables concurrently. It tests live cabling and is secure as much as 52V. Buzzers in both the principle unit and tone generator indicate continuity. The LED display indicates continuity, shorts, opens, and the presence of AC and DC voltage. The toner turns off mechanically after 10 minutes of state of no activity to conserve battery life. It’s made from anodized aluminum for light weight, durability, and corrosion resistance. Additional specifications include quite a lot of environmental operating conditions. Toners are utilized by network technicians to troubleshoot and handle VDV (voice, data, and video) cable in telephone and data networks.

The toner is to be had in same old, deluxe, and voice and video pro kits, all of which come with an F-type male push adapter (nine for deluxe and voice and video pro kits) and an F-type female Speed 81 coupler for testing cable with F-type connectors. The deluxe kit also includes an F-type female 81 adapter; (8) F-type male 71 adapters; (8) ID caps; a Dial Tone Detective that connects to telephone jacks to test for dial tone and correct polarity of wiring; a 66 block adapter, an RJ11 adapter, an RJ45 adapter, and an alligator clips with RJ45 adapter for testing telephone lines and networking cables; RCA female and male adapters for testing audio and video cables; and BNC female and male adapters for testing miniature to subminiature coaxial cable. The voice and video pro kit also includes an F-type female 81 adapter; (8) F-type male 71 adapters; (8) ID caps; a Dial Tone Detective that connects to telephone jacks to test for dial tone and correct polarity of wiring; a 66 block adapter, (8) RJ11 adapters, an RJ45 adapter, and an alligator clips with RJ11 and RJ45 adapter for testing telephone lines and networking cables; RCA female and male adapters for testing audio and video cables; and BNC female and male adapters for testing miniature to subminiature coaxial cable. The Dial Tone Detective has a green LED that lights when a dial tone is present and a red LED that lights when the jack is reverse stressed.

Datacom and telecom installation and test devices, such as toners and test sets, check cabling and wiring to assist be certain correct connections and operation. Tone generator and probe sets, often known as toners, are used to locate, trace, and isolate cables in copper media networks. Telephone test sets, often known as butt sets, are specialized telephones that connect to telephone lines to test for correct operation and to isolate trouble. Some test sets incorporate a TDR (time-domain reflectometer) and toner for determining cable length and locating faults. At the same time as certain devices can be used on live networks, others are most effective suitable for inactive networks. Field technicians and installers use these devices to set up, handle, and troubleshoot datacom and telecom cabling within a building or in out of doors plant (OSP) applications.

Fluke Networks manufactures tools for network infrastructure installation, testing, certification, and troubleshooting, in copper, fiber, and wireless networks, with its tools widely utilized by contractors, enterprises, and communication service providers.
