Because the unit absorbs the humidity there’s a trademark window that accommodates crystals if you want to change from blue to pink once it has reached its capacity (4-6 oz.). This must take between two to four weeks but will vary depending on specific conditions. Once the crystals have changed to pink, it is able to be plugged in for 8 to 10 hours in a well-ventilated area. After 8 to 10 hours the crystals may have changed back to blue and it’s in a position for use again. The method may also be repeated for as much as 10 years!
